    We are searching for a Nursing Services Supervisor to not only provide patient care but oversee nursing staff to ensure proper patient care is delivered. The Nursing Services Supervisor will oversee clinicians in the Hamilton County and surrounding areas.


    The Nursing Services Supervisor is responsible for directing and managing a staff of Nurses, Social Work and Home Health Aides to ensure agency goals are achieved and patient care provided exceeds agency expectations.
    - Conducts monthly Nurse meetings to perform in-services and promote educational training to clinicians
    - Performs weekly review of clinicians productivity and report to Director, Clinical Operations
    - Functions as the primary resource to associate questions and concerns. Provide guidance to clinicians regarding questions concerning proper patient care.
    - Attends all weekly case conferences to review admissions, discharges and re-certifications and other patient specific needs.
    - Collaborates with the scheduler on a daily basis to review staffing needs to properly serve patient census
    - Reviews on-call logs daily and provide a summary of reasons for calls and resolutions provided to the Director, Clinical Operations
    - Assists in new hire orientation and ensure precepting is completed to agency expectations
    - Monitors overtime, absenteeism and associate ETO requests on a weekly basis
    - Coordinates 24 hour on-call and act as a back-up to provide patient care if needed
    - Tracks and reviews Tele-Health utilization and determine any patients that are candidates for the program
    - Manages and directs a team of clinicians including RN Case Manager’s, RN’s, LPN’s, Social Work and Home Health Aide’s to ensure a safe, effective, and appropriate home care service is provided
    - Meets with clinicians regularly on an individual basis to provide guidance and information related to specific issues
    - Provides direction to teams to assure client needs are met and services are provided according to the agency policies and procedures
    - Performs quarterly supervisory visits with clinicians to determine staff competency and respond to educational and developmental needs
    - Assists clinical staff in establishing priorities, setting goals and following up to ensure goals are met by conducting performance reviews in a timely manner
    - Collaborates with the Director, Clinical Operations on process improvement, quality initiatives and policy/procedure implementation
    - Educates clinicians on clinical services, policies, and procedures as needed
    - Facilitates problem-solving sessions to enable Case Managers and other staff to resolve client and/or reimbursement issues.
    - Serves as the clinical expert on home health guidelines and Medicare regulations to accurately respond to associate concerns and questions.
    - Ensures accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of clinical documentation in accordance with Agency policies and procedures, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
    - Monitors open and closed charts regularly, and participates in the quarterly clinical record review.
    - Assists in screening and interviewing of new Agency personnel and makes recommendations to Director, Clinical Operations and Human Resources.
    - Completes corrective actions and delivers necessary performance discussions in collaboration with Human Resources.
    - Provides care to adult and geriatric patients in the home to assist with staffing needs.
    - Provides on-call backup for Case Mangers, as needed.
    - Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Clinical Operations.


    - Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
    - Minimum of 3 years nursing experience in an acute care setting.
    - Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
    - Knowledge of home care federal and state regulations.
    - Knowledge of reimbursement sources and documentation requirements within home health care.
    - Must possess attention to detail skills.
    - Ability to prioritize work using fundamental time management skills.
    - Must possess excellent interpersonal skills to foster a team environment.
    - Must be available at all times during regular business hours and as needed to provide support and assure quality care delivery to home care clients.
    - Demonstrates knowledge of safety/infection control practices by compliance with policies and procedures and regulatory requirements.
    - Ability to prioritize multiple duties and adapt quickly to changing needs.
    - Function well under conditions of high stress and minimal supervision.
    - Function in both sedentary office environment and patient homes with varying conditions.
    - Must be a licensed driver with automobile insurance in accordance with Agency and state requirements.
    - Current CPR certification.
